ART + SOLE COMPETITION
Who: Steven Madden, LTD, a leading designer of fashion footwear and accessories for women, men, and children announced the launch of its> '> groundbreaking online Art + Sole design competition today.
What: Beginning May 21st, 2007, everyone from aspiring designers to the fashion forward consumer, age 18 and over, will have the opportunity to design a shoe for the Fall or Holiday 2007 Steve Madden collection and submit their designs at www.stevemadden.com/art+sole. Steve Madden himself will select the top 5 finalists whose designs will be displayed on the Steve Madden website. On June 20, 2007 Steve will open the voting to the public to help him decide who will design the next Steve Madden shoe.
The winner will receive a trip to New York as well as the opportunity to spend a day with Steve Madden at the company' s design headquarters where they will watch their design come to life in the Steve Madden factory. The winning design will be sold online at www.stevemadden.com and at select Steve Madden retail stores. The winner also receives a $500 Steve Madden gift certificate redeemable online or in Steve Madden Stores. The four runner ups receive a $250 Steve Madden Gift Certificate redeemable online.

June 20th - July 2nd: Top 5 finalist designs are posted online for the public to vote for their favorite design
